Sister Maria Delaney also spoke to the congregation to introduce the Jubilarians and recognize the many challenges they have overcome to accomplish their important work around the world. The Sisters in attendance have ministered in five continents, working among those made poor in very abandoned places, committing to create justice and peace.

“Each year, Jubilees allow us to celebrate the resilience and perseverance of all the women who said yes many years ago to an unknown future,” Sister Maria said, “but who became part of an intrepid group of women who knew how to believe and how to love and who never gave up. Our mission as Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur is to proclaim God’s goodness and we have lived our vocation with full intention.”
