The Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ) is an annual social justice conference in Washington, D.C., for members of the Catholic “Ignatian family” (Jesuit and Catholic schools, parishes, etc.) to learn, pray, reflect, network and advocate. Inspired by the 1989 martyrdom of Jesuit priests in El Salvador, the event focuses on topics like immigration, environmental justice and racial justice, culminating in advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill. It is the largest annual gathering of its kind in the United States, coordinated by the Ignatian Solidarity Network.
