A Joyful Jubilee in California

August 30 brought us a beautiful afternoon in Belmont, California, when four Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur were honored at a Jubilee celebration held at the province center. Together, these remarkable women have spent 270 years making known God’s goodness in the world:  Ruth Ella (80 years), Maureen Hilliard (60 years), Patricia Hutchison (70 years) and Rosa Dolores Rodriguez (60 years).

Surrounded by Sisters, Associates, staff, friends and family, the Jubilarians enjoyed a Liturgy of the Word, the Breaking of Bread and beautiful music by Sister Sharon McMillan, SNDdeN. Each aspect of the service was meaningful and heartfelt.

Sister Kathryn Keenan, SNDdeN led the Renewal of Vows ceremony when all four Jubilarians vowed to wholeheartedly live their days in service with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Several other Sisters also participated in the service, including Sisters Susan Olson, Nancy O’Shea, Kathy Camacho, Sharon Joyer and Theresa Linehan, SNDdeN.
