Community

Across the globe, we are many, yet one, blessed by each one’s own culture and gifts. We share a common mission to participate in the work of God’s great love – the transformation of persons into a world of justice, peace, and love – the Beloved Community of God.*
Our membership is a relationship of mutual care and support of each other, a shared life of faith sustained by prayer. In local houses, in the rhythm of many schedules, we normally find ways to share meals, prayer, and the news of the day. You will find us active in parish and civic communities wherever we live.
Conscious of God’s unbounded Goodness, we witness the presence and action of God’s Spirit at work in people everywhere. We collaborate with others at local, national, and global levels for a more just, peaceful, and loving world.
Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur are bound together in this communion. We are consciously connected to one another as we participate in God’s loving plan for all: Life in all its fullness where all will know the God of all Goodness.
“Loved by God and animated by the Spirit, we gather in the name of Jesus, to participate in the new community of love and justice which he promised.”
