Explore Laudato Si’ with inaugural Laudato Seeds of Change: An Immersion Experience
January 9, 2026
We are accepting applications for this two-week summer retreat for women who are passionate about exploring the intersection of spirituality and ecological action
Imagine a space where women come together to explore the connections among a healthy environment, the sacredness of the Earth, and caring for people experiencing poverty. Our new program, Laudato Seeds of Change: An Immersion Experience, is accepting applications to join a select group to spend two weeks at our beautiful Spirituality Center in Ipswich, Massachusetts, where we will discuss and reveal how spirituality can inspire meaningful action for our planet.
As Pope Francis emphasizes in Laudato Si’, everything is connected — our lives, the world’s ecosystems and spiritual well-being. Our current ecological crisis is brought about by human action, but by working together to build our common home, he invites us to rediscover harmony with creation. We need to fundamentally change how we care for the Earth and one another. He urgently appealed for “a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet.”
This immersion experience is built on cultivating ecological awareness, spiritual renewal and community engagement through the encyclicals Laudato Si’ and Laudate Deum. Our retreat promises a thought-provoking dialogue on how faith interacts with ecology, science and social responsibility, while surrounded by nature and an atmosphere of learning. This gathering is more than a discussion: it’s a chance to connect, reflect and envision a hopeful future together.
Open to a select group of women, this inaugural two-week event will be held June 21–July 5, 2026, at our Notre Dame Spirituality Center in Ipswich, Massachusetts. To learn more about this experience and how to apply, please go to Laudato Seeds of Change: An Immersion Experience.
