Some appointments tell you everything about a school’s mission. This is one of them.

Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School (NDCR) in Methuen, Massachusetts, has named Mabel M. Dominguez as principal.  A proud NDCR alumna, Dominguez was shaped by this community, returned to serve it and now steps forward to lead it.

As NDCR President Sister MaryAlyce Gilfeather, SNDdeN, said: “As an alumna who has been formed within this community, Mabel embodies the mission we seek to live each day.”

Through years of service as teacher, dean of students and vice principal, Dominguez has led with care, clarity and an unwavering belief in every student’s dignity and potential.

She still teaches in the classroom, modeling the commitment to lifelong learning she hopes to inspire in others. She holds degrees in psychology, mental health counseling and educational leadership, the latter earned through the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education.

In Mabel Dominguez, Notre Dame Cristo Rey has found more than a principal. She is a living expression of what this mission produces—and what it promises every student.
