Helen Farrell

Sister Helen Farrell, SNDdeN was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Virginia (Neary) Farrell. She entered the SNDdeN in 1986, took her first vows in 1990 and final vows in 1999.

She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Lowell in 1976 and her master’s degree from Emmanuel College in 1992. Sister Helen taught at St. Ambrose in Dorchester and St. Francis in Braintree. She was a CPE student at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and an advocate and chaplain at the Notre Dame Long-Term Center in Worcester.

She also served in the Pastoral Ministry at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Cobleskill, New York, and as a chaplain at Allegiance Hospice in Lowell, SolArmor Hospice in Middleton and Harborside Hospice in Haverhill.
