Marianne Murphy

Sister Marianne Murphy, SNDdeN was born in Boston in 1944, the daughter of Frederick and Bernadette (Lilley) Murphy.
She entered the SNDdeNs in 1977, took her first vows in 1979 and final vows in 1985. Before entering, she taught at St. Clement in Somerville, Sacred Heart in Quincy, St. Ambrose in Dorchester, and Notre Dame Education Center in South Boston, and, as principal, Blessed Sacrament in Jamaica Plain.
After she entered, she taught at St. Augustine’s in Lawrence, St. Patrick’s in Roxbury, and St. Ambrose’s in Dorchester.
She lives in Ipswich.
