SNDdeN Receives Award for Public Service

Sister Jeanette Braun, SNDdeN, director of the Table of Plenty in Half Moon Bay, Calif., has been awarded a Jefferson Award for Public Service, along with its co-founder Clyde Beffa. Local CBS affiliate KPIX-TV shared the news in this video.

Sister Jeanette has been a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur for 65 years, serving mainly as an educator in many contexts. One of her favorite aspects of Table of Plenty is that when young people volunteer as servers there, it plants a seed of community service, as many have gone on to volunteer in other ways.
