Statement on Choosing Nonviolence

(January 28, 2026) – The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur U.S. East-West Province affirm the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) call to choose nonviolence as a faithful expression of the Gospel.

Rooted in our mission to make known God’s goodness and to advocate for justice and peace, we believe nonviolence upholds human dignity, resists injustice and fosters hope in a fractured world. We stand in solidarity with all who seek peace through courageous love and compassionate action.

Together, may we be witnesses to transformative love in our world.
