Celebrating Our 2022 Jubilarians

In 2022, 42 Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur of the U.S. East-West Province are celebrating milestone anniversaries. Over the course of the year we will be creating profiles and videos to celebrate them.

Look below for a video slide show honoring the Sister Jubilarians and Associates of Notre Dame de Namur.

Sister Rosalie Pizzo, SNDdeN speaks about her 70 years as a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, the changes she's seen and why religious life is "just right" for her.
Sister Barbara Matasci, SNDdeN speaks about her life as a Sister, what led her to choose religious life and what gives her joy.
Sister Catherine Perroni, SNDdeN reflects on her 70 years as a sister–what drew her to become a Sister, her change of ministry after decades of teaching–and shares her gratitude for the Sisters and the joys of her life.
Sister Lenore Coan, SNDdeN, who is celebrating 60 years as an SNDdeN, shares she uses the skills she learned as a first-grade teacher in her work today, and about how education happens far beyond the classroom.

  1. So happy to see Sr.Mary Mulligan's beautiful smile! I remember her fondly from my years as a student at Cardinal Cushing High School! Her eyes still sparkle.

Sandra Awalt Slater (cousin to Mary Curran)

  2. Wow … this brought a tear to my eyes. Seeing Sr Barbara Ann ( 75 years of dedication to SND) my first grade teacher at Notre Dame Belmont whom I have always remained close to and Sr Virginia Ann (who taught at St Charles while I attended school there) who was my brothers teacher and a very special person . Such an amazing tribute to all who have remained Notre Dame Nuns. My sister Linda ( Shenk) Pennington entered in 1957 but exited to become a wife, mother and a dedicated Catholic School teacher in San Jose Ca! I hold the Sisters very close to my heart!♥️

  3. So beautiful and touching remembrance especially my friends from the former Connecticut Province. Thank you
