Once again, our hearts are torn by the violence between peoples of faith. The deaths of so many innocent people are senseless and not in God’s vision of the beloved community. We pray for peace and encourage each of us to make choices for peace in our communities.
As Pope Francis said, "Terrorism and extremism do not help to reach a solution to the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, but fuel hatred, violence, revenge, and only cause each other to suffer. The Middle East needs a peace built on dialogue and the courage of fraternity."
